2026 Street and Utility Improvement Project Update 9/30/2026
Schedules are subject to change due to weather, contractor scheduling, and other factors outside the control of the City and Contractor. Work on Saturdays is anticipated to begin starting this Saturday, October 3 and could continue through the end of the construction season. Notices will be handed out if access will be restricted for your property on Saturdays, the same method as during the week. Please remain patient as crews work to improve your streets and utilities. Week of September 28th:
Elmwood Neighborhood: Watermain and water services are currently in progress on Valleyview. These are anticipated to be completed this week. Street grading and construction is in progress on Elmwood Circle. Access will be limited on both Elmwood Circle and Valleyview.
Oakwood Road: Minimal work is anticipated on Oakwood this week.
Other Project Areas: Limited work is anticipated in these locations the remainder of this week. Some grading of the streets and preparation of sidewalks and driveways will be occurring on Meadowview Terrace and Wehle. Based on subgrade findings on Marshland Court following curb removals, the street will now be fully reconstructed. It has been determined that a complete, thicker street section with draintile on both sides will be needed to properly accommodate traffic for the long term. All curb will now be removed this week and the remaining work will begin in the upcoming weeks.
Week of October 5th:
Elmwood Neighborhood: It is anticipated that the contractor will begin storm sewer construction on Valleyview on Monday, October 5. It is anticipated that the watermain drilling in the cul-de-sacs of Elmwood Circle and Valleyview will be worked on towards the end of the week. This work will require large pits to be excavated in the cul-de-sacs. Installation of the last storm sewer in the cul-de-sacs will follow the watermain drilling. Affected residents will be notified with flyers about access to driveways and access restrictions.
Oakwood Road: It is anticipated that the watermain drilling in the cul-de-sac of Oakwood will be worked on towards the end of the week. This work will require large pits to be excavated in the cul-de-sacs. Installation of the last storm sewer in the cul-de-sac will follow the watermain drilling. Affected residents will be notified with flyers about access to driveways and access restrictions.
Other Project Areas: Limited work is anticipated in these locations the remainder the week of October 5. Some grading and preparation of sidewalks and driveways will be occurring on Meadowview Terrace and Wehle the week of October 5. Access will generally remain normal for the most part with some short duration limits during certain activities. It is possible that some street excavation work could begin on Marshland later in the week. Affected residents will be notified with flyers about access to driveways and access restrictions.
Looking Ahead:
Elmwood Neighborhood: Draintile installation and street grading in anticipated to begin on Valleyview the week of October 12. Remaining curb and gutter, along with driveways, on Elmwood Drive and Elmwood Circle could begin to be poured the week of October 12.
Oakwood Road: Remaining curb and gutter along with driveways on Oakwood, Road could begin to be poured the week of October 12.
