2026 Street and Utility Improvement Project Update 09/02/2026

Week of August 31st:

Elmwood Neighborhood: The contractor will continue building the street section on Elmwood Drive consisting of grading the street subgrade, placing draintile, and adding aggregate for the new roadbed. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the week. Little work is anticipated on Elmwood Circle or Valleyview this week.

Oakwood Road: The contractor is currently constructing the watermain on Oakwood. That is anticipated to be completed later this week. Once watermain installation is complete, they will begin working on water services on Oakwood. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.

Other Project Areas: Reclamation of the street pavement is anticipated for Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3 for Marshland, Meadowview Terrace, Wehle, fire station, and Highland Driveway. No parking will be allowed on the streets during the reclamation process, but residents can park in driveways and garages during that time. Removal of curb, driveways, and sidewalk may begin occurring this week as well, these limits have been marked in paint.

Week of September 7th: No Work on Monday, September 7 for Labor Day Holiday

Elmwood Neighborhood: It is anticipated that minimal invasive work will occur this week for the Elmwood neighborhood. The contractor will likely be removing some of the reclaim material on Elmwood Circle and Valleyview, but this can be done under traffic. Nearly full access to driveways and streets can be anticipated during working hours this week with some minor delays if the equipment is actively working in front of your house. If there are days that driveways are inaccessible, affected residents will receive hand delivered notifications.

Oakland Road: Water services will be wrapping up and move into storm sewer construction. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.

Other Project Areas: Some curb and driveway removals on Marshland, Meadowview Terrace, and Wehle might be ongoing. Access will generally remain normal for the most part with some short duration limits during certain activities. Full access is anticipated for these streets.

Looking Ahead:

Elmwood Neighborhood: Elmwood Circle and Valleyview will see watermain construction following Oakwood utilities. It is possible that work could begin on the week of September 14. Watermain construction by drilling to the TH 7 watermain connections is possible for mid-late September as well.

Oakwood Road: Construction of storm sewer may finishing up. Once all utilities are completed, the street section will be built. During this utility work, trenches will be open in the streets, limiting street access during the workday.

Other Project Areas: Spot repairs to storm sewer structures may begin in mid-September. The streets will remain gravel for a few weeks with limited work besides removing some of the excess aggregate from the reclamation process. Access should be normal for the most part with some short duration limits during certain activities.
